The Universal Heartbeat Needs an AED!
The soft tick of the Millennium Clock filled the silent shrouded Hall. Don't ask where the Hall is, or why it's there, you might as well ask whether or not swimsuits are made of metal. The slow, rhythmic ticking of the Clock carefully measured out the seconds for all of eternity, carefully separating the future from the past. The Universal Heartbeat. Slowly, so slowly that thousands of mortal lifetimes pass, the Clock comes to a stop. Unfortunately, this is no ordinary clock, the stopping of which would mean that it just had to be rewound, or inserted with fresh batteries. No. This Clock measures out the time to be used by the Universe, it separates the future from the past. If the Millennium Clock had not existed, the Universe would never have been created, as it would have had no time to be created in. But it stopped. You work out what that means.
